Last evening, Congressional Energy Engagement had the distinct honor of co-hosting along with Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, Chairman of the House Energy and Water Subcommittee on Appropriations, the New Member of Congress Nuclear Welcome Reception—a remarkable event that brought together an unprecedented 27 bipartisan members of Congress, both new and returning, alongside an impressive gathering of nuclear industry leaders, organizations, and key representatives from the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy.

I was privileged to deliver the opening address, emphasizing the critical mission of advancing nuclear energy as a cornerstone of America’s all-of-the-above energy strategy. The evening served as a unique opportunity for members of Congress to engage directly with innovators and decision-makers shaping the future of nuclear energy.
